EAT LIKE A VIKING!

A few weeks ago, the BFF and I finally got to check out VIKINGS Luxury Buffet at SM City Cebu!

What they claim:
"Boasting the largest buffet areas found in the Philippines, Vikings has redefined the standards of dining in class and style. Indulge in mouth-watering cuisines from across the world one plate at a time, specially prepared by our team of world-class chefs. Find yourself enchanted by each of our food selections–from European to Asian to American–our international cuisines feature over 400 delectable dishes for you to devour."
I'm no expert on food, but hey, I LOVE TO EAT. But since I'm no food critic, I think I'll let these pictures speak for themselves.
Untouched and pristine, getting ready for the crowd!
Selection of Chinese, Filipino and Thai Food.
 Fresh Seafood galore!
I think I visited the carving station 5 times for steak and lamb!

The spread was pretty overwhelming, well worth the price.
Here are some tips I'd like to share, if you're thinking of eating here soon:

1. Make a Reservation

This is probably the most important piece if advice I can give you if you plan on eating here soon. If you walk in without reservations, expect to wait FOREVER. The walk-in waiting line is so long that they actually have chairs outside the place cordoned specifically for the queue! We were smart enough to make reservations over a week before our visit, so we were one of the FIRST THREE accommodated for lunch.

2. Come in Early

Lunch starts at 11, and dinner at 5:30, if you have reservations, AND come in before lunch or dinner service starts, you'll get first dibs on a clean and oh-so-beautiful untouched spread! This gives you enough time for tip # 3.

3. Scout the Terrain

Walk around without a plate and savor everything with your eyes first. Scout your prey and strategize. Now's probably the best time to take photos too.

4. ATTACK!

The best part is savoring your meal over good conversation with family and friends. Keep hydrated but go easy on the liquids like soda or juice, as that can fill you up faster. Take breaks, and stay as loooong as you'd like. We stayed from 11am to 2pm. HAHA

Also, be smart and check out their website or Facebook page before you plan your visit. They just might have some really good promos going on that can save you some money. ;)
