DIY: Galaxy Bottle Charms

Nikka has been crazy about anything galaxy-themed lately, so I've been YouTube-ing the many different crafts we could make together. The first one we started with were these adorable little galaxy charms. They are also super easy to make! Here's a simple how-to if you'd like to make these yourself.

Materials needed:
1. Small glass bottles or vials
2. Assortment of glitter glue
3. Loose star-shaped glitter
4. Cotton
5. Wooden Skewers
6. Superglue
7. Cord / ballchain

STEPS:
1. Pick two or three glitter glue colors you want to work with.
2. Fill the glass vial about 1/4 of the way with the first color of glitter glue.
3. Pour in a few star shaped glitters.
4. With the wooden skewer, push the stars glitters so that they stick to the sides of the vial.
5. Take a tiny piece of cotton and push into the vial with the wooden skewer.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 until you fill the entire glass vial.
7. Make sure to leave enough space up top otherwise, the glitter glue will overflow when you put in the cork or rubber stopper.
8. Line the rim of the vial with a thin layer of superglue, and plug in the cork or rubber stopper.
9. Attach the charms to piece of ball-chain or cord to turn it into a key chain or necklace, and you are done!

Here are some photos of the charms we made for Jenikka's Galaxy-themed party this December.

'Til next!
